Anne R. Lee, J.D. (Series 65)

Legal Counsel

Anne R. Lee, J.D.  -  As Legal Counsel, Anne provides communications, program, operations and compliance oversight for Church Organizers Foundation.  Anne is also a licensed Investment Advisor Representative and has spent over 15 years in the securities industry, providing operations and sales support, and eight years as an estate-planning attorney.

Anne provides COF with client and business-to-business communications.  She drafts presentations, speeches, proposals, reports, legal documents, marketing, and academic papers.  Anne provides compliance oversight for inhouse representatives, client servicing and internal operations, program development, and FINRA and state regulations.  Prior to her work with Church Organizers Foundation, Anne worked in affiliation with independent broker/dealer and registered investment advisory offices since 2004 with Linsco/Private Ledger, Sigma Financial, Trustmont Financial and LPL Financial.  Anne graduated cum laude from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where she wrote for the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law, and was admitted to the Michigan State Bar in 2013.  Areas of expertise include estate planning, business negotiations, contracts, and nonprofit civil liability.  During her undergraduate studies at Purdue University, Anne received the Student Achievement Award as the Communications Department's top student, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Broadcast Communications and Journalism.

Having grown up on the mission field in Papua New Guinea, Anne contributes to theological discourse, particularly in the intersection between culture and doctrine.  Anne views culture like an accent: you only notice accents that are different from your own.  Culture is part of God’s creation, like money or relationships.  “We receive our blessings not from them, but from God through them” and we should use these blessings and then lay them aside “as a traveler uses an inn, and food, and his bed only for temporal necessity.” (Luther’s Large Catechism, First Commandment.)  Christians should be able to lay aside culture and let God’s Word alone stand.   Anne's Profile and Anne's LinkedIn Profile
